Southwest Madison

Surrounded by shopping, entertainment, bars and restaurants, Southwest Madison is home to several quiet, residential neighborhoods. Blue Mounds

Beautiful bluffs & valleys for as far as the eye can see, Wisconsin’s famous Driftless Area starts here. Cave Of The Mounds not only offers cave tours but also live music performances, cocktail hours & events for families, adults and kids year round. The Blue Mounds State Park offers scenic views, camping, a pool and a splash pad. Its challenging climbs make Blue Mounds a destination for cyclists.

Mount Horeb is minutes away, offering a handful of local shops, restaurants, art galleries and downhill skiing and snowboarding at Tyrol Basin.

Mount Horeb

Embracing its rich Norwegian heritage, Mount Horeb’s streets are graced with locally carved, life size wooden trolls! In addition to this charming village’s signature pieces of folklore art, Mount Horeb offers gourmet restaurants, cafes, bakeries, a world-class brewpub, galleries, shops, antiques, museums, award-winning wineries and scenic bike trails.

Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the cross country skiing, hiking, challenging bike routes, downhill skiing (at Tyrol Basin) and, of course, plentiful photo ops, thanks to rolling hills & stunning vistas that Mount Horeb has to offer.

 

Paoli

The Sugar River meanders through this tiny, charming town. Enjoy a lazy afternoon on a self guided walking tour of Paoli’s historic buildings, poke around the locally owned shops and art galleries or grab a bite or brew at one of their fine eateries or microbrewery. Paoli comes alive in the summertime with celebration and live music. The gentle hills and quiet country roads make Paoli a popular destination for cyclists.

Springdale

Nestled along the Upper Sugar River Watershed and the eastern edge of the Driftless Area, the town of Springdale boasts miles upon miles of gorgeous bluffs & valleys. Several of the area’s natural springs feed some of the finest trout streams in Wisconsin.

 

Southwest

Surrounded by shopping, entertainment, bars and restaurants, Southwest Madison is home to several quiet, residential neighborhoods. Its wide variety of home styles includes Colonials, multi-levels, condos, ranches, contemporary homes and even a handful of mid century modern gems.

Madison’s Southwest side is home to the City’s largest community park, Elver Park. The park offers everything from softball diamonds to soccer fields, disc golf, reservable shelters, seasonal hockey and ice rinks, a huge sledding hill, and cross-country skiing.

 

Town of Verona

With quick and easy access to Verona, West Madison, Fitchburg and Middleton, residents enjoy many nearby conveniences in this rural setting. The Town of Verona is home to the award winning University Ridge Golf Course, many popular road bike routes & the expansive Prairie Moraine Park, which includes an off leash dog park. The Military Ridge State Trail and the 1,200 mile Ice Age Trail meander through the Town of Verona.

 

Verona

Outdoor fun can be found in Verona’s parks, ice rinks, mountain bike trails and award winning University Ridge Golf Course. The Military Ridge State Trail meanders through town as well as the 1,200 mile Ice Age Trail. The Epic campus lies on the western edge of town and if you’ve not toured it yet, it’s definitely worth a visit.
